Fullmetal Alchemist OVA collection set to be Released Later this Year

The North American anime distributor Funimation has confirmed at the Ohayocon event on Saturday that it has acquired the Fullmetal Alchemist: Premium Collection original video animation (OVA) set. Funimation will release the set on a single DVD in late 2009. According to Funimation's Adam Sheehan, the DVD will include "everything that was on the Japanese DVD release — uncut, subbed, and dubbed."

The Premium Collection's Japanese release features the "Seven Homunculi VS State Alchemists" short and three DVD shorts that shipped after the 2005 Fullmetal Alchemist movie: "Live Action," "Chibi Party," and "Kids." These shorts were the last animated footage created for the Fullmetal Alchemist "dark fantasy" franchise — at least, until this coming April, when the new television adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's original manga premieres. Extras include a picture gallery, bonus clips from the Universal Studios Japan amusement park's Fullmetal Alchemist Premiere Tour, and closing credits that feature a dancing Alphonse Elric character.......Read More

I think this I pretty cool although these OVA seem kind of short. Anyways, I would probably buy this collection anyways just to have it because I just that way XD. I actually have not see these Fullmetal OVAs yet and may have to check them out. Anyways I thought this was something I would share with anyone read this blog. Anime retail websites get sued for selling Bootleg Anime Dvds

The North American anime distributor FUNimation Productions is suing a group of related companies in Southern California for allegedly selling counterfeit DVDs of its licensed anime on a website. FUNimation is alleging that a California resident named Hae Yong Ro and four affiliated businesses — N Trading, Inc, Discount Anime DVD, BuyDVD.com, and DOES — infringed on FUNimation and its licensers' copyrights and trademarks by selling unauthorized copies of Fruits Basket, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragonball GT, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Anyways, I found this article to be interesting because it was posted on my birthday and one of the sites was were one of my birthday presents was going to come from. With this said I had to look around and research a bit more to find legitimate anime product retails sites. LOL good thing I didn't purchase anything from the DiscountAnimeDVD.com site like I was originally planning. I guess to say the it can be quite hard to trust some web site retail stores these days. Especially if you like collecting anime dvd and such.

Angered with Adult Swim's Saturday Schedule Change {part 1}

well I must say that as of the recent Saturday I noticed that I didn't get to watch the next episodes of Code Geass and Moribito. *kicks some rocks* At first I though this was just temporary schedule and since I don't log in to the adult swim forums as much because I've been really busy. But anyways, I just found out on some sites on the Internet the adult swim pulled the crap of moving Moribito and Code Geass to the 5:00AM-5:30AM slots. And since I'm usually not up at this time to watch them I have to miss them. It's bad enough that anime isn't shown as much on [as], but can deal with that because I have other animes I watch that there is no way in hell adult swim would even play them. But Saturday's action (anime) show is what I always looked forward to even though the shows are English dubbed—I prefer English subs with Japanese audio.
