December Updates

Well its a new month so I might as well post some updates. There really isn't too much new, but I must say I've just started watching Soul Eater not that long ago. I'm almost finished watching the second season of Rosario + Vampire, I've finished up watching the third season of Zero no Tsukaima: Princess no Rondo. I haven't finished any manga or even sat down and start reading any. I might just have to do that soon. At least finish reading Unbalance x Unbalance.

Well that's it for the moment. So here is a anime desktop them for you guys to download.

New Adult Swim Saturday Schedule

Well, it seems that Adult Swim has again changed Saturday's line up. This time it seems to be a much better line up then the previous one mentioned in an earlier post of mine. This mean that there is more anime and Code Geass and Moribito are on at a earlier time. I'm sure that it will probably change again, but I must say I'm happy with having more anime to watch on Saturdays.
So at the moment this is the line up: (anime in orange color)
1. Robot Chicken [2 showings]
2. Aqua Teen Hunger Force [2 showings]
3. Boondocks [2 showings]
4. Bleach
5. Moribito
6. Code Geass R2
7. Shin Chan
8. FLCL
9. Death Note
10. Ghost in the Shell
11. Cowboy Bebop
12. Big O

Anime retail websites get sued for selling Bootleg Anime Dvds

Originally posted on Anime News Network..
The North American anime distributor FUNimation Productions is suing a group of related companies in Southern California for allegedly selling counterfeit DVDs of its licensed anime on a website. FUNimation is alleging that a California resident named Hae Yong Ro and four affiliated businesses — N Trading, Inc, Discount Anime DVD, BuyDVD.com, and DOES — infringed on FUNimation and its licensers' copyrights and trademarks by selling unauthorized copies of Fruits Basket, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragonball GT, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Some of the DVDs are said to have included English dubbing. Read Full article here
Anyways, I found this article to be interesting because it was posted on my birthday and one of the sites was were one of my birthday presents was going to come from. With this said I had to look around and research a bit more to find legitimate anime product retails sites. LOL good thing I didn't purchase anything from the DiscountAnimeDVD.com site like I was originally planning. I guess to say the it can be quite hard to trust some web site retail stores these days. Especially if you like collecting anime dvd and such.

BTW, I Originally submitted this post to the Otaku tidbit on generationotaku.net.

But anyways I thought this would be somthing to share with you all.

New Month New Post XD

Well now it's a new month. So I hope that you all had a Happy Halloween and stuff. It seems I still slacking off on some anime reviews, hopeful I get one or two done this month. I've just been kind of busy. Anyways, well I had a pretty good birthday, had some Korean food for my b-day dinner, mmmmm good. Now I'm waiting to see if I will get my Elfen Lied box set that I had asked for. This will be my first box set. Nothing too much else going on. I started watching Soemedays Dreamers, which isn't too bad so far. I also am giving Soul Eater a look as well. I'm still watching Bleach, frist season of Code Geass and Moribito, slowly but surely. I finish the second season of Zero no Tsukaima and started the third season. There are a few other animes I have watched from DVD rented from Blockbuster Total access. But I don't like the selection of anime blockbuster has. Anyways, that's about it for the moment. Thanks for reading. :D

Ergo Proxy AMV

This is my first attempt at a AMV (anime music video). I made this video with Nero Vision. I used the second episode for this video, I believe towards the end of the episode. The music that I had used was one of my tracks called "The Golden Rules". Anyways let me know what you think.

I was basically trying to make a video that synchronized like this following Eureka Seven video to the Lord Of Trance track by Dj Tiesto

Rosario + Vampire season 2 is now out

I think I maybe have forgot to post a bit earlier in the year about the announcement for the second season of Rosario + Vampire that was to be released in October. My bad for slacking off. Well anyways it is now October and just in time for the second season of Rosario + Vampire. I have been waiting for this for a while since I have finished the first season which I had much enjoyed. I think next be on my list is to check out the manga.

Anyways, if you haven't seen the first you should check it out before you watch this one. I actually haven't had a chance to check it out, but according to Anime News Network there are already 2 episodes out. The first episode was released on the first of October. Second episode was released on the eighth of October. The third episode titled Mother + Vampire (Haha to Vampaire) will be released on the 15th of October. But I would just like to note the these releases are only in Japan.

In further news it was noted that two Japanese TV stations that had aired the first episode of Rosario + Vampire Capu2 had censored some of the scenes while two other stations left the show air as is. The two stations that censored the scenes were TV Osaka and TV Aichi. Source Anime News Network

If you would like to check out a trailer for the second season here is a youtube clip.

Just some brief updates v.1.5 (October's updates)

There is too much going on lately. I've just been busy and such, actually haven't had the time to really watch anime everyday like I normally do. But still make sure that I feed my anime needs, lol. Anyways, I'm still a little irritated with the Saturday lineup on [adult swim], but it fine I guess because I'll just record Code Geass and Moribito so I don't miss anymore episodes. But I still have to figure which episodes I have already missed due this schedule chance.

Other updates, I'm just about finished watching Ergo Proxy, I think I watched up to episode 21. I have also started watching Hell Girl which is being shown on the IFC channel (Independent Films Channel). I like watching anime on that channel because it not edit like it is on adult swim or the Sci-Fi channel. I would actually like to see more anime on IFC in the future.

Last piece of this update is that my birthday is coming up on the 28th of October. So I hope that I get something good for my birthday present. I would like to get a box set of Elfen Lied or another series. Or even something along that lines of music production hardware/software since I compose/produce electronic music with my computer.

Well that's it for now.

Oh BTW I should have my review of Twilight of the Dark Master up here in a couple days and possible I will add more to my reviews of Elfen Lied and True Tears.

Angered with Adult Swim's Saturday Schedule Change {part 1}

well I must say that as of the recent Saturday I noticed that I didn't get to watch the next episodes of Code Geass and Moribito. *kicks some rocks* At first I though this was just temporary schedule and since I don't log in to the adult swim forums as much because I've been really busy. But anyways, I just found out on some sites on the Internet the adult swim pulled the crap of moving Moribito and Code Geass to the 5:00AM-5:30AM slots. And since I'm usually not up at this time to watch them I have to miss them. It's bad enough that anime isn't shown as much on [as], but can deal with that because I have other animes I watch that there is no way in hell adult swim would even play them. But Saturday's action (anime) show is what I always looked forward to even though the shows are English dubbed—I prefer English subs with Japanese audio.

Anyways, here is adult swim's new Saturday schedule

11:00/2:00-Bleach

11:30/2:30-Fullmetal Alchemist
12:00/3:00-Robot Chicken

12:15/3:15-Aqua Teen Hunger Force

12:30/3:30-Metalocalypse

12:45/3:35-Metalocalypse

1:00/4:00-Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job

1:15/4:15-Assy McGee

1:30/4:30-Squidbillies

1:45/ 4:45-12oz Mouse

5:00-Code Geass

5:30- Moribito

Anyways, I will post more about this later. Here is the dsicussion in the adult swim forums: New Saturday Schedule Discussion

Episode 1 First impressions -> Moribito

Well I had watched the first episode that aired on adult swim. I must say that this seems like its going to be a good anime. The animation and story line is catching which is what I like about most with most of the adventure types of animes that I watch. At first it had seem to start out kind of slow but then it started to get interesting. Anyways, I think I my just continue follow this series and watch it every Saturday on adult swim just as I have been following Bleach and Code Geass.
I will post more later after I get further into the series.

Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit Airing on Adult Swim

Well it seem that I'm a little bit excited that Moribito is going to be airing on adult swim coming up on August 24 the only day that adult swim seems to have animes showing anymore. This is according to a news posting on anime news network. Anyways I haven't heard too much about this series but from what I have heard its pretty good so I will be looking forward to watching the first episode.

Posted this post on my personal web site here as well: Thoughts of Everything

Again with the Updates v.1.4

Well what heck again with the update post here. What is my problem LOL. Well anyways there isn't to much new lately. I just started watching Zero No Tsukaima. I'm on the third episode. So far I have enjoyed the first two episodes so I'm going to continue watch the rest of this first season. I will post more about that a bit later.

Again I slack off, I haven't gotten any further in the School Rumble manga so I can't really talk about that.

So what should I talk about. Maybe some cute anime girlies dancing around with dangerous sharp objects. LOL Well maybe another time :D

I guess I could say that I tried watching Twilight of the Dark Master again last night so I could write a review for this blog. But I started to fall asleep in front of my TV while I was watching it. I guess I will have to try this again either tonight or tomorrow. I guess that say a review for Twilight of the Dark Master is coming up here sometime soon.

So what do you all want me to talk about???

I reposted this post on my new web site here:  Thoughts of Everything

More Updates and Random Stuff. v. 1.3

Well I just finished watching Le Chevalier d'Eon and I must say that I really enjoyed this series. The ending is quite surprising. But I'm not going to spoil it for you all. Look for the review for it here in the near future. But all I'm going to say for the moment is that Le Chevalier d'Eon's story is quite different compared to most other animes that fall under this type of anime genre. I'm also just about finished watching Rosario + Vampire I think I'm up to episode 10.

Finally I just started reading the School Rumble manga. This is that first time in a long while that I have attempt to start read a manga. But I'm also slowly but sure reading the Bleach manga but not as focused on it.

Ok here is a video for you all

Eureka Seven Dance Party..XD

Updates (I'm such a Slacker..XD)

Well everyone, I've been pretty much slacking off on this blog since the day of its creation. But I will try as much as possible to make at least three posts a month, hopeful more. Well, nothing is too much new, still in the search for a job.

So I had posted a anime review a little bit back for True Tears (TV), hoe you all give it a read. I have decided to add to my reviews I post at a later date just to give it more of a detailed review. But I still haven't decided on the format I would like to follow.

Plus I have been somewhat working on some kind of script implementation that I would like to use in my blog to hide spoilers that I may post here from time to time. I still trying to figure it out though. But I hope that I could implement this sometime soon.

Also I 'm also planning on making a few post about mangas and what not. But I really haven't read as many mangas and much as I have watched anime. So my manga post will probably be few, as least until I start reading more and what not.

well thanks for reading.. XD

True Tears (TV) review

Anime: True Tears
Japanese Title: True Tears
Number of Episodes: 13
Episodes Watched: 13
Genre: Drama, Comedy, Romance, School-life, Harem
Age Rating: Teen 13+

Brief Plot Information:
“Shinichiro is a student living in what would be a dream come true for most high school boys, but for him is mostly a frustration. A well liked girl in school named Hiromi has lived in his house for a year along with his family. Her father was a close friend of the family, and when he died they immediately took her in. She is popular and well liked, always smiles, is talented in sports- but Shinichiro knows there must be tears inside her. Having an artistic tendency, he makes watercolours of her and thinks about wishing to ease her tears. Yet he cannot bring up the nerve to talk to her even in his own home. She, too, is quiet and withdrawn in their house, quite unlike at school. Shinichiro is also distracted by teasing from his friend Nobuse for watching Hiromi from afar, a curse of bad luck from a strange girl named Noe, and being forced to perform Muhiga dancing. By helping Noe he hopes to ease his own problems, yet he seems to have difficulty helping himself.” Source: Anime News Network

The Likes of this anime:
I had found this anime to be quite enjoyable as with most animes of this type of genre. The animation was great and I felt that the attention to detail was really well done. Throughout each episode there was a good amount of every type of feeling. What I mean by this is that the emotions the characters were feeling I would start to feel their emotions. In fact a couple times I almost wanted to cry. Another thing I like and enjoyed with this anime is that I felt the entire story flowed from one episode to the next. Sometimes (just like other enjoyable animes) I would get irritated or impatient after an episode because of the fact that the episode would end right in the middle of a really good part. Then I would have to wait to watch the next episode.

The dislikes of this anime:
I must say that there really isn’t too much that I didn’t likes about this anime. There may have been a few parts that I found to be irritating but that really doesn’t mean I disliked them. In actuality I felt that the anime ended too soon, at least in my opinion. I think that there could have been a bit more to the ending that how it ended in episode 13. But I won’t good in to detail on that just because I think you should watch this series and see for yourselves.

My Rating: 99/100

I will probably post an additional review for this anime in the near future with a bit more. For example I think will add different categories pertaining to my rating in graphics/animation, story, fun factor, and originality. But this may differ, because I really haven’t decided yet on how to go about it.

Jibber, Jabber. Boredom at its best version 1

I'm bored so I decided to make a post in this blog. Nothing much is going lately, watching a few animes this week. Today is Saturday and my shows are on Adult Swim, well a couple of my shows like Death Note, Bleach and Code Geass. I pretty much watch these religiously, although I would prefer the Japanese audio and English subs. But I guess it's alright. Anyways I just downloaded a Love Hina desktop theme from anime theme.com

I haven't installed it but it looks like it might be a good one. If you would to download it here is the link: Love Hinatheme.zip

Anyways this is a enough for the moment. I will be posting more anime reviews here sometime soon and what not Stay tuned...XD

Review of Elfen Lied エルフェンリート

Anime: Elfen Lied
Japanese Title: エルフェンリート
Episodes: 13 & 1 OVA
Episodes Watched: 13 & OVA
Genre: Horror, Science Fiction, Romance, Ecchi, Drama, Action, Comedy
Age Rating: Mature Audiences due to Graphic Violence, Nudity & Language
Brief Plot Information:
“The Diclonius (two-horned human) are mutants created by humans. It has a special ability that can be described as a sixth sense. These mutants have enough power to exterminate the whole human race. Afraid of their powers, people isolate them in research labs to be studied.

One Diclonius girl, Lucy, breaks out of confinement, kills her guards and escapes. She fell into the ocean after being shot and ends up on a beach. There, she meets Kota and Yuka. They name her Nyu and begin to live with her.”
Source AnimeNfo.com
The Likes of this anime:
In my opinion I though this was a quite good anime, the overall story, the art/graphic work and the characters. The overall story flowed from one episode to the next and the character development slowly developed through each episode. I guess this is why I got stuck watching the all of the episodes because I wanted to know what would happen next. The character, well actually characters I liked the most was the Lucy/Nyu split personality. Lucy seemed to have a bit of a dark side until towards the end
[Spoiler Warning]
when her feelings towards Kota started to come out as he realized that she was the one who had killed his father and sister
[Spoiler Ended]
The Nyu side was kind of cute in her ways though she could really speak any basic words except “Nyu” but you can usually tell what she means or how she felt when she spoke “Nyu”.
[Spoiler Warning]
Towards the last couple of episode Nyu started to speak a few words to Kota or when she would call out Kota’s name
[Spoiler Ended]
The Dislikes of this anime:
To tell you the truth, I really don’t have any dislikes of this anime. It was a very enjoyable anime to watch and I would recommend this to anyone.
The only thing I really didn’t like was how the series had ended in episode 13 and I kind of wish there was a 2nd season or something. Even the OVA didn’t help with the ending, just a little addition to some of the episodes towards the end of the series.
My Rating: 99/100 (99 because of the way the series had ended.)

I will probably post a further review of this anime in the near future.

First Post & Brief Introduction.

Well hello everyone,
I decided to throw a blog together where I can discuss everything anime & Otaku. First off, my name if Russ but you all can call me Ruste or Ru-Kun. There is really all that much to say at the moment, but I'm a big anime and manga fan, more anime then manga. I like just about all genres of anime and manga, but I really haven't watch/read too many sports animes/mangas. I've been watching anime for a long time, but as of recent like about 3-4 years ago, I have really gotten into watching anime, almost religiously. Manga, on the other hand I haven't been into for vary long. I think the first manga I had read was Love Hina and it was a friend of mine. Well anyways that about it for now, I may add to this later. Stay tuned..XD

I have just few rules for leaving comments because I believe I have allowed anyone to leave comments. Sooo
First please don't post download links to unlicensed anime/manga, i.e. torrents or direct downloads, or other illegal downloads, also don't ask for download links, I will not give them to you and I will delete your comment. That's is pretty much it. Thank you. ~~Ru-kun (Mr.Ruste)
